St Mary's church was built in 1844, with a single-bay double-height lower chancel to the east having a single-bay single-story lean-to vestry to the south-east and a single-bay single-story advanced porch to the west.
This project was a conservation project that included the following scope of works:
- Scaffold out the entire building
- Carefully remove the existing gutters and downpipes for refurbishment
- Record the location of all dismounted items so they can be reinstated in their original locations
- Salvaged sections to be sand blasted clean
- Repairs carried out to broken and cracked sections
- Undercoated and painted using a top grade oil paint
- Restore lattice framed windows
- Replace broken glass sections with antique glass of similar style & colour
